minibend® VG is an enhanced version of the minibend® V with a gold plated BeCu contact for those applications that require repeated mates/demates of the interface. The minibend VG will tolerate up to 500 mates/demates without applicable degradation. minibend® VG is designed for use in high bandwidth (65 GHz) and high speed (40 GB/sec) applications.

Phase Versus Flexure Reference Data

 Astrolab performed phase tests on hundreds of minibend cable assemblies. Following are two standard Astrolab tests with the corresponding data. In test one minibend® VG-12 assembly's were flexed 90° in a 0.5 inch radius directly behind the connector. In test two, minibend® VG-12 assemblies were flexed 180° with a 1.0 inch radius in the middle. Typical data is recorded here:
